"In India I found a race of mortals living upon the Earth. but not adhering to it. Inhabiting cities, but not being fixed to them, possessing everything but possessed by nothing."

- Apollonius Tyanaeus(Greek Thinker and Traveller 1st Century AD)

32, 000 years old Lord Krishna's Dwarka city found in India in year 2001 by marine archaeologists. It is near same spot where Hindu history texts Purans have been telling. It is older than its own Mohanjodoro and Harappa.

Namaste! (I welcome you with my head bowed down in respect)

This site is dedicated to our ancestors in India that is Bharat. We are thankful to them as they told us-

Aatmanh Praticoolani Paresham na samacharet |

Meaning: "Do not do any thing to others which you do not want to be done with yourself." So if you want to be forgiven, forgive others. If you want to be cared, care others. If you do not want to be harmed, do not harm others........

We are thankful to them as they left us the ocean of philosophy. Please see below an excerpt from Vedah:

The Vedas, like the Mundak Upanisad, as well as the Svetasvatara Upanisad, compare the soul(Aatama: Supreme Self:A part of Brahm-GOD) and the Brahm, to two friendly birds sitting on the same tree (body). One of the birds (the individual soul)is eating the fruits of the tree, and the other bird (GOD:Brahm) is simply watching His friend. Of these two birds -- although they are the same in quality--one is captivated by the fruits of the material tree (body), while the other is simply witnessing the activities of His friend. Although they are friends, the soul is engrossed in fruits of the tree (body). As soon as the other bird (soul) starts understanding its true nature and start looking to His friend (Brahm:GOD) instead of the fruits of the tree, both are no longer two. Forgetfulness of this relationship by the soul is the cause of one's changing his position from one tree(body) to another, or from one body to another.

Another school of thought called "Adwaita" belives that it is not two. Just as the light and shadow are not two. You can view them as one. The entity living in body is shadow of GOD. God is living in every particle of the universe. Like duality of light God is all universe and it is in each constituent part at the same time.

They further reminded us that-

Parhit Saris Dhram nahi Bhai| (-Ram Charit Manas)

There is no better Dharma as working for the benefit of every one.

Dharma is a Sanskrit word, which means "the one which holds or supports". All the noble actions which help in holding the society and making it strong fall under Dharma. All great ancestors like Ram, Krishn, Buddha, Mahavir, Shankracharya, Guru Nanak, Sant Kabir and myriad others have tried to explain us the true nature of Dharma.

They further told us to respect our teachers(Guru) by saying-

Bandou Guru Padkanj| Kripasindhu Nar roop Hari||
Mahamoh Tampunj| Jasu Vachan Ravikar Nikar || -(Ramcharit Manas)

"Worship the lotus feet of Guru. He is ocean of benediction and benefaction. He is like GOD in human form. The darkness of attachment is very deep. Only the flame of his words can remove this darkness.

Some people call our ancestors vedic as they had verbal knowledge base called Vedas. Vedic people were very peace oriented and did not like violence for any thing including meat. Some racist authors like Max Muler amusingly tried to prove that there was a fictional race called "Aryan" which attacked Indians (Bhartiyas). Even if there was such a race, they failed to destroy vedic people as vedic people mention attack from violent people. They either got absorbed by vedic people or they got defeated. "Arya" is a Sanskrit word and it means noble. In no way it refers to a race. In old indian civilization those who were noble and good in their deeds, were addressed as Arya. All Sanskrit literature ( Sanskrit language is so beautiful that it is called the language of gods) is full of such terms of respect. For example, in great compiled historical epic Ramayana, you will find this addressing in conversations at many places. This word was used in addressing in the same way, as we use the word "sir" in english language, to show respect. However racist like Max Muler with their little Sanskrit knowledge tried to project a race and with purpose gave it the name "Arya" to insult Bhartiyas.

Today in India we are a plural socitiey but we are the descendents of same ancestors. It is good to feel that all of are related.

When we extend the same feeling to whole human race we feel the same pleasure. And when we extend this to every living being in the universe we feel utmost pleasure.

The shloka below expresses the same-

Ayam Nijah paroveti Garna laghu chetsaam| Odaar charitanaam tu vasudhav kutumbkam|| -(A Vedic Saying)

"This is beloved to me. That is not beloved to me. ..." These calculations are done by people having tiny hearts. For those with broad hearts (thoughts) the whole world is a family.

We love the Basis Of All Universe in different ways depending upon our nature but the Basis Of The Universe remains one, our yearning for Him remains the same and the blood in our veins remains one.

-Bhagvadgita(chapter 2, Shloka 22)

Shloka Meaning:

Just as a person wears a new garment giving up the old one.
Just like that the one living in the body accepts a new body giving up the old one.
